Alec Messamore, DVM

Dr. Alec Messamore is a 1997 graduate of the University Of Illinois College Of Veterinary Medicine and has been part of the Decatur Animal Clinic family for over 40 years. After graduation, he returned to the clinic to work as a veterinarian alongside his father, Dr. Dennis Messamore, continuing a family tradition of compassionate veterinary care.                                                                                                                                                                                                               

Dr. Messamore has a strong interest in small animal medicine and imaging, including ultrasonography and has completed advanced training through the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine, earning a certification in ultrasound proficiency.                                                                                           

Outside the clinic, he enjoys photography and spending time with his wife, their two children and dogs and cat. Dr. Messamore is proud to care for your pets as if they were his own
